Essential Qualification RBI Officers Grade B Recruitment
Regarding educational qualifications, for the General Grade B stream, candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum marks required are 50%.
For the DEPR Grade B stream (Department of Economic and Policy Research), candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Economics or Finance (including specialized areas where Economics or Finance is the principal constituent of the curriculum) with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks from a recognized university or institute. Reserved category candidates need a minimum of 50% marks.
For the DSIM Grade B stream (Department of Statistics and Information Management), the essential qualification is a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Analytics, or related fields with a minimum of 55% marks. Candidates from reserved categories require at least 50% marks in these qualifications. Additionally, some related professional diplomas and four-year bachelor’s degrees with the required percentage are also accepted.
The age limit for RBI Grade B 2025 recruitment is set between 21 and 30 years as on July 1, 2025. However, age relaxations are applicable as per Government of India norms for reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), ex-servicemen, and other eligible candidates, with relaxations varying from 3 to 15 years depending on the category and specific conditions.
Salary details RBI Officers Grade B Recruitment
The starting basic pay for RBI Grade B Officers in 2025 is expected to be around ?55,200 per month, with gross monthly emoluments (excluding HRA) approximating ?1,22,717. Benefits include Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, and others as per rules. Selected candidates will have opportunities for promotions and postings across India.

There will be two phases for the examination.
