NCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025 Notification Out for 94 Diploma and Graduate Apprentice Posts – Apply Online

Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Mini Ratna Company and a subsidiary of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal, has released the official Notification for engagement of Graduate and Diploma Apprentice Trainees for FY 2025-26. This recruitment is conducted under the provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961, offering one-year apprenticeship training for candidates from Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Uttar Pradesh (UP).

Eligible candidates who have completed B.Com or Diploma in Civil Engineering can apply online through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at https://nats.education.gov.in/. The online registration begins on 09 December 2025 and continues until 23 December 2025.

Only the following qualifications are accepted:

General Eligibility Rules

• Only Indian nationals are eligible.
• Candidates must be residents of MP or UP and must produce domicile certificates.
• Age Limit (as on 01.12.2025):
  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 26 years

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC-NCL: 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
• PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
• PwBD (OBC-NCL): 13 years

Additional Conditions

• Candidate must NOT have completed Graduation/Diploma before June 2021.
• Must not have undergone apprenticeship earlier.
• No experience of 1 year or more in any job.
• Qualification must be from full-time regular courses only.
• Rounding off of marks is not allowed (e.g., 49.99% < 50%).

NCL Apprentice Selection Process 2025

1. Single Application Rule:
   Candidates can apply for only one post.
2. Shortlisting Method:
   Based on aggregate marks in qualifying B.Com/Diploma.
3. Document Verification:
   Shortlisted candidates must appear with original documents. Failure to appear leads to cancellation.
4. Merit Panel:
   Prepared based on marks in qualifying degree/diploma.
   Tiebreakers:
   • Older candidate preferred (DOB basis)
   • If tie persists, alphabetical order of name (English)
5. Medical Fitness:
   Mandatory medical certificate as per Mines Rules 1955 (Annexure 3).
6. Final Selection:
   Depends on medical fitness and successful registration of apprenticeship contract on NATS.
