Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) — a joint venture of NTPC, CIL, IOCL, FCIL & HFCL — has released Advertisement No. HURL/BRN/APP/25-26/01 inviting applications for Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended) at its Barauni Fertilizer Plant, Begusarai, Bihar.

This recruitment opens opportunities for Diploma and Graduate candidates in multiple technical and non-technical disciplines. The apprenticeship program offers hands-on industrial training in one of India’s largest and most modern Natural Gas-based Ammonia–Urea fertilizer complexes.

? About HURL

Established on 15 June 2016, HURL operates state-of-the-art, energy-efficient fertilizer complexes at:

• Gorakhpur (UP)
• Barauni (Bihar)
• Sindri (Jharkhand)

Each plant is designed for 2200 MTPD Ammonia and 3850 MTPD Urea (1.27 MMTPA Neem-Coated Urea) production. All three units are currently operational, serving 17 states across India.

The Barauni Fertilizer Unit is located in Begusarai district, approximately 8 km from Barauni Railway Station.

HURL Apprentice Recruitment 2025 – Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Diploma Apprentices: Full-time 3-year Diploma (AICTE approved)
• Graduate Apprentices: Full-time Degree in relevant discipline
• Only full-time regular courses are accepted

Age Limit (as on 01.12.2025)

• 18 to 25 years

Not Eligible If:

• You already completed an apprenticeship earlier
• You have more than 1 year of job experience
• You possess higher qualifications: B.Tech/BE, MBA, MCA, CA/ICWA, LLB (for non-technical apprentice categories)
• You are enrolled in part-time/distance mode courses

HURL Apprentice Stipend 2025

• Graduate Apprentices: ?9,000 per month
• Diploma Apprentices: ?8,000 per month

No accommodation or transportation will be provided.

Selection Process – No Exam, No Interview

HURL follows a merit-based selection:

1. Shortlisting based on marks in qualifying exam
2. Document Verification
3. Medical Fitness Test by District Civil Surgeon
4. Final Contract Approval on NATS Portal
5. Candidates must join within 7 days of receiving offer
