Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has released an official notification for the Walk-in-Interview for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) posts at Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL), Visakhapatnam. Eligible candidates with Engineering qualifications can attend the interview scheduled on 26 February 2026.

? Educational Qualification

For B.E. / B.Tech Candidates:

• First Division in relevant discipline
• Valid NET or GATE score is mandatory

For M.E. / M.Tech Candidates:

• First Division in both Graduation and Post-Graduation
• Degree and PG must be in the same discipline

? JRF Salary / Fellowship Amount

• ?37,000 per month
• Plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as per DRDO rules
• Initially for 2 years, extendable as per norms

? Age Limit (as on Interview Date)

• Maximum Age: 28 years
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC / ST / OBC candidates as per Government of India rules

? Selection Process

• Written Test (MCQs) – if required
• Personal Interview
• Final selection based on performance
• A panel list will be prepared and valid for one year
