Essential Qualification TIFR Scientific Assistant Recruitment

• For Scientific Assistant (B) (UR Post) : Full Time Science Graduate (from a recognized University/Institute with aggregate of 60% marks) in Physics or Applied Physics, Optics, Instrumentation or related fields OR Full time Diploma in Engineering (from a recognized University/Institute with aggregate of 60% marks) in Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Optical/Instrumentation Engineering or related fields (b) Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.
• For Scientific Assistant (B) (SC Post) : (a) Full Time Science Graduate (from a recognized University/Institute with aggregate of 60% marks) in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Biological Chemistry/Analytical chemistry (b) Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.

Selection Process TIFR Scientific Assistant Recruitment

1. The selection process will have a Written Test and a Personal Interview.
2. In some cases the selection may be based on a Personal Interview only.
3. Candidates with experience in vacuum systems or optics will be preferred for the UR post.
4. Hands-on experience with lab instruments is needed for the SC post.
