The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), a premier Government of India enterprise, invites eligible Indian citizens to apply online for a spectrum of challenging roles in Design, Construction, Commissioning, Operation, Maintenance, Renovation, Modernization, Upgradation, Plant Life Extension, Waste Management, and Decommissioning of Nuclear Reactors. These roles are consolidated under one roof at the Tarapur Atomic Power Station (TAPS), Maharashtra.
Overview of Vacancies
NPCIL is offering opportunities across multiple disciplines and categories, ensuring inclusivity for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, Unreserved (UR), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). A total of 112 vacancies are available across various posts:
Category-I Stipendiary Trainee/Scientific Assistant: 18–25 years
Scientific Assistant/B (Civil): 18–30 years
Technician/ST Trainee: 18–24 years
Assistant Gr.1 Posts: 21–28 years
Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), PwBDs, Ex-Servicemen, widows, Project Affected Persons (PAPs), and other eligible categories as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process
For Stipendiary Trainees & Scientific Assistant/B:
Stage-1: Online Test (CBT) – 50 MCQs, 90 mins, 2 marks per correct answer, 0.5 negative marks.
Stage-2: Personal Interview – 100 marks, qualifying marks 40% UR / 30% reserved categories.
For Technicians, Operators, X-Ray Technicians & Assistant Gr.1:
Stage-1: Preliminary Online Test (CBT) – 50 questions, 1-hour duration.
Stage-2: Advanced Online Test (CBT) – 50 questions, 2-hour duration.
Stage-3: Skill Test / Document Verification / Physical Standards.
Language: All online tests will be trilingual – English, Hindi, and Marathi.
Place of Posting
Selected candidates will be posted at Tarapur Atomic Power Station, Maharashtra, with transfers across India as per NPCIL requirements.
