The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 notification for the posts of Constable (GD) in CAPFs & SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. A total of 25,487 vacancies have been announced for male and female candidates across India.
The SSC GD exam is one of India’s most popular defence recruitment exams conducted for various central armed police forces such as BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, SSF & Assam Rifles.

1. Nationality
Candidate must be a citizen of India and must possess a valid domicile certificate of their State/UT.

How to Apply
- Visit https://ssc.gov.in
- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) (mandatory).
- Login & fill the SSC GD Application Form 2026.
- Capture a real-time photograph using the camera (mandatory unless Aadhaar authentication used).
- Upload scanned signature (6cm × 2cm).
- Pay the application fee (if applicable).
- Submit the form and take a printout.
Important Note
- The OTR from the old website ssc.nic.in will not work on the new platform.
- Candidates applying via Aadhaar Authentication are exempt from certain photo/signature rules.
