Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Domicile	Must be a Citizen of India and a Permanent Resident of Assam.	Same as UB.
Other Mandatory Requirements	1. Registered with a local Employment Exchange in Assam. 2. Must speak Assamese or any other state language fluently. 3. Must possess valid SSC/COI (except SC/ST/OBC candidates).	Same as UB.

Rs.14000-70000/- with Grade Pay Rs. 5600/- and other Allowances, as admissible under the Rules.

Assam Police Constable Selection Process 2025

The selection of candidates will be based on a multi-stage process:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Medical Examination: Qualifying in nature, but carries marks.
Physical Standard Test (PST): Qualifying in nature (Height & Chest measurement).
Written Test: 100 MCQ-type questions for 50 marks.
Oral/Viva-Voce: For 5 marks.

Final Merit Calculation:

Constable (UB) – Male & Female: PET (40) + Written Test (50) + Viva (5) + Academic Marks (5) = 100 Marks
Constable (AB) – Male: PET (60) + Written Test (50) + Viva (5) = 115 Marks
Constable (AB) – Female: PET (40) + Written Test (50) + Viva (5) = 95 Marks
