RBI Assistant 2025 Vacancy Details

• Total Posts: 650
• Vacancies available across offices such as Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur & Lucknow, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, and Thiruvananthapuram.
• Reservation applicable for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen as per government norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

Candidate must be:

• Citizen of India
• Subject of Nepal/Bhutan
• Tibetan refugee (before 1 January 1962)
• Person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries

Age Limit (As on 01 February 2026)

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 28 years
• Born between 02 February 1998 and 01 February 2006 (inclusive)

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST – 5 years
• OBC – 3 years
• PwBD – 10 to 15 years (depending on category)
• Ex-Servicemen – As per rules
• Widows/Divorced Women – Up to 35 years (40 for SC/ST)
• RBI Staff Experience – Up to 3 years

Educational Qualification (As on 01 February 2026)

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (Pass class for SC/ST/PwBD)
• Knowledge of word processing on PC
• Proficiency in the local language of the applied state

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted in three stages:

Preliminary Examination (Online – Objective)

Main Examination (Online – Objective)

• Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.
• Candidates must qualify in each section.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

• Conducted in the official/local language of the respective state.
• Mandatory for final selection.
• No exemption allowed.

RBI Assistant Salary 2025

• Starting Basic Pay: ?29,000/- per month
• Pay Scale: ?29000–78640 (with increments)
• Gross Monthly Salary (Approx.): ?58,514/- (without HRA)
