ICPs Posting Locations

Selected candidates may be posted at any ICP across India, including:

Attari, Jogbani, Raxaul, Agartala, Dawki, Petrapole, Moreh, Rupaidiha, Sabroom, Sutarkandi, Dera Baba Nanak, Srimantpur, Mankachar, Darranga, Golakganj and other ICPs.

Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise Summary)

Vigilance Officer (Level 13)

• Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university
• 3 years’ experience in vigilance, administration, HR, finance, accounts, or court matters
• Either:
  • 5 years in Level 12, or
  • 10 years in Level 11
• Maximum age: 56 years

Chief Port Administrator (Level 13)

• Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s in Management desirable)
• 3 years’ experience in operations, logistics, transport, security, commerce, or administration
• Maximum age: 56 years

Port Administrator (Level 11)

• 5 years’ experience in management, administration, finance, HR, vigilance, or court matters
• Master’s Degree in Management preferred
• Deputation initially for 5 years (extendable)

Assistant Engineer (Civil) – Level 7

• Officers from CPWD / PWD or equivalent
• 3 years’ experience in civil construction and monitoring projects
• Maximum age: 56 years

Junior Engineer (Civil / Electrical) – Level 6

• 5 years’ service in Level 5 or equivalent
• 3 years’ experience in engineering works and project monitoring
• Maximum age: 56 years

Assistant (Level 6)

• 6 years’ service in Level 5
• Experience in administration, HR, or finance
• Basic computer knowledge mandatory (MS Office, e-Office, Email)

Personal Assistant (Level 6)

• 6 years in Level 5 or 10 years in Level 4 (Steno ‘D’)
• Experience in secretarial and office management work
• Maximum age: 56 years

Port Executive (Level 6)

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years’ experience in operations, logistics, transport, administration, planning, or security
• Deputation period: 3 years
• Maximum age: 56 years

Deputation Period

• Most Posts: Initial 5 years, extendable up to 7 years
• Port Executive: 3 years
• Deputation does not confer right to permanent absorption
