IREL (India) Limited, formerly known as Indian Rare Earths Limited, has released an official notification (No. IREL(India) Limited / Chavara/Apprentices Engagement/2026-27 dated 10-02-2026) for the engagement of 89 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 at its Chavara Unit, Kerala.

Eligible Indian candidates can apply for Trade, Technician, Graduate Apprentices and General Stream Executive positions. The last date to submit the hard copy of the application is 24 February 2026.

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma / B.E / B.Tech / Degree / M.Sc (Chemistry) as per respective post.
• Qualification must be obtained through regular mode only.
• Distance/Part-time/Correspondence candidates are not eligible.
• Candidates with higher qualifications (M.Tech, MBA, MCA, PhD, CA, etc.) are not eligible.

Age Limit (As on Last Date)

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST – 5 Years
• OBC (NCL) – 3 Years
• PwD – 10 Years

Stipend

Stipend will be paid as per Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 and Government of India norms. No additional benefits or financial assistance will be provided.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on:

• Merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
• Document verification.
• Medical Fitness test by IREL Medical Officer.
• Police Verification Certificate (mandatory before joining).

2. Mining Area & 10 KM Peripheral Villages
3. Wards of Serving Employees
4. Candidates from Kollam District
5. Candidates from Kerala State
