Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess any one of the following full-time degrees from recognized institutions:

1. B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from CIHM/SIHM/PIHM affiliated to NCHMCT/UGC/AICTE/Government of India.
2. BBA/MBA (Culinary Arts) from Indian Culinary Institutes under the Ministry of Tourism.
3. B.Sc. in Hotel Management and Catering Science from UGC/AICTE/Government recognized universities.
4. MBA in Tourism and Hotel Management from recognized universities affiliated with UGC/AICTE.

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the hospitality or hotel management field is mandatory.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)

• UR: 28 years
• OBC: +3 years relaxation
• SC/ST: +5 years relaxation
• PwBD: +10 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years

Place of Posting

Selected candidates may be posted in:

• Andhra Pradesh
• Telangana
• Maharashtra
• Odisha
• Chhattisgarh

However, candidates may be deployed anywhere in India as per IRCTC’s operational requirements.

Remuneration and Allowances

• CTC: ?30,000/- per month
• Daily Allowance: ?350/- for on-board duty (100% for >12 hrs, 70% for 6–12 hrs, 30% for <6 hrs)
• Lodging Charges: ?240/- per night (if outstation stay is involved)
• National Holiday Allowance (NHA): ?384/- per working holiday
• Medical Insurance: ?1,400 per month (up to 35 yrs), ?2,000 per month (36–50 yrs), reimbursable with valid documents

Selection Process

• Candidates must fill and submit the application form (attached with the notification) at the interview venue.
• Bring original certificates, attested photocopies, and two recent passport-size photographs.
• Walk-in Interview: Selection will be based on educational qualifications, experience, and performance in the personal interview.
• Merit List: Selected candidates will be shortlisted in order of merit. A reserve panel of 46 candidates will also be maintained.
• Engagement is subject to medical fitness and verification of documents.

Scope of Work

Hospitality Monitors will be responsible for:

• Supervising food production, quality, and service on trains and catering units.
• Ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and pest control in kitchens and pantry cars.
• Managing staff deployment, equipment maintenance, and customer feedback.
• Ensuring statutory compliance and coordination with IRCTC departments.
• Monitoring services in Vande Bharat Trains, Mail/Express Trains, Tourist Trains, Bharat Gaurav Trains, etc.

General Terms and Conditions

• Engagement is purely contractual; no claim for permanent employment.
• Contract may be terminated with one-month notice by either side.
• Unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination with 15 days’ notice.
• Selected candidates must submit a Security Deposit of ?25,000 (Demand Draft).
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
• Knowledge of MS Office, report preparation, and problem-solving ability are desirable.
