Works Engineer / Civil (Contract Basis)

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• Full-time Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 60% marks
• Degree from a recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE/UGC

Qualification must be fulfilled as on 01 January 2026.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• Maximum Age: 30 years

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/EWS and other eligible categories, subject to fulfillment of required qualification and experience.

Experience Requirement

• Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in Building Construction works
• Candidates with maintenance works experience in buildings will be given preference

Note:
Experience related to teaching, training, consultancy, freelancing, internship, or project work will not be considered as valid experience.

IRCON Salary 2026 (Works Engineer Civil)

• Fixed Consolidated Pay: ?36,000 per month
• Annual Increment: 5% increase in fixed pay after completion of each year of service

There are no additional allowances beyond the fixed consolidated pay.

  • Health insurance of ?3,00,000 for self
  • Premium ceiling: ?4,000 per annum
  • Premium reimbursed on submission of policy and receipt
  • Covers COVID-19 and other diseases
• Provident Fund (PF):
  • Minimum PF deduction as per EPF & MP Act, 1952
  • Matching contribution by IRCON
  • PF amount paid on cessation of contract
• Leave:
  • 1 leave per calendar month
  • Leave can be accumulated
  • No leave encashment allowed
• Holidays:
  • Weekly off
  • Public holidays as applicable to project office
• TA/DA:
  • Admissible for official outstation duty

Place of Posting

• Initial Posting: Delhi / NCR
• Candidates may be posted to any Northern Region project/office of IRCON as per organizational requirements.

Selection Process

• Selection will be through:
  • Written Examination and/or Interview
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process.
• All information provided by candidates will be verified with original documents during interview.

Nature of Appointment

• Appointment is purely contractual
• Initial contract period: 1 year
• Extendable based on:
  • Project requirement
  • Satisfactory performance
• Appointment is co-terminus with the project
• This recruitment does not confer any right for regularization or absorption in IRCON.
