Gauhati University Invites applications for the following vacancies

Selection Process

1. Application Scrutiny: Applications will be checked for eligibility based on UGC norms and specific requirements mentioned.
2. Shortlisting: Based on eligibility and criteria decided by the Screening Committee(s), candidates will be shortlisted. Mere fulfillment of minimum criteria does not guarantee shortlisting. The University reserves the right to shortlist applicants, especially if there is a large number of applications for a post.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before the Selection Committee. Candidates must appear at their own cost.
4. Document Verification: Original certificates, degrees, and other documents must be produced for verification at the time of the interview. Failure to do so may lead to disqualification from appearing in the interview.
5. Final Selection: The decision of the Selection Committee/University will be final.

How to Apply

1. Have a valid email ID and mobile number.
2. Go to the Teaching Recruitment Portal: Apply Online Link.
3. Register and fill the online form carefully. Mandatory fields are marked (*).
4. Pay the fee online: Rs. 1500 (General) or Rs. 750 (SC/ST).
5. Check details before final submission (no changes after submitting).
6. Download the submitted application PDF.
7. Sign the printed PDF application form.
8. Gather self-attested copies: Mark Sheets, Certificates (Birth, Education, Experience, Caste/PWD if applicable), Fee Receipt, and NOC (if employed).
9. Put the signed form and all documents in an envelope.
10. Label the envelope: “Application for the post of ______, Gauhati University, Advt. No. T/2025/1” (mention the post name).
