Essential Work Experience

For Principal Consultant (AMA)

• Minimum one-year tenure as:
  • DGCA Medical Assessor, or
  • IAM / AFCME / MEC(E), or
  • DGCA-approved Class-I Medical Examination Centre, or
  • At least 3 years as DGCA-empanelled Class-II/Class-III Medical Examiner
• More than 15 years of experience in Aviation Medicine
• In-depth knowledge of DGCA rules, CARs, and Class-III medical standards for ATCOs

For Senior Consultant (AMA)

• Minimum one-year tenure as:
  • DGCA Medical Assessor, or
  • IAM / AFCME / MEC(E), or
  • DGCA-approved Class-I Medical Examination Centre, or
  • At least 3 years as DGCA-empanelled Class-II/Class-III Medical Examiner
• 10–15 years of experience in Aviation Medicine
• Strong understanding of civil aviation medical regulations for ATCOs

Job Role: Authorised Medical Assessor (AMA)

The AMA will evaluate and assess medical reports submitted by Air Traffic Controllers (ATCOs) to the Directorate of Certification of ATS Personnel, AAI.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess fitness/unfitness and follow-up requirements for ATCOs
• Ensure confidentiality of medical records
• Advise AAI CAP Directorate on aviation medicine matters
• Formulate and implement Class-III medical policies as per DGCA CARs
• Maintain ATCO medical records for at least 10 years
• Conduct training and workshops on fatigue management and mental health
• Act as Medical In-charge for psychoactive substance testing
• Coordinate with DGCA and other agencies on medical certification matters

Salary & Benefits

• Principal Consultant: ?5,00,000 per month (consolidated)
• Senior Consultant: ?3,50,000 per month (consolidated)
• Leave entitlement: 1.5 days per completed month
• Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward or encashed
